Position Title: (Roadie) Paid Internship

Department: DJ Services

Reports To: DJ Manager

Compensation: Independent Contractor 1099

Duration: February - December 2024 (possibly longer with satisfactory performance)

Under the supervision of DJ Manager the Roadie Intern will assist with all DJ events of the DJ Services department as needed.

Responsibilities include accompanying the DJ to events for loading and unloading of equipment while representing SHOMODJS LLC at events. Performing roadie services. Interns are expected to perform in a professional manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Participation in roadie on the job training 2. Assisting the equipment loading and unloading and setup. 3. Assist SHOMODJS LLC in marketing events worked for the publicity of SHOMODJS LLC and its activities. 4. Travel with DJ Manager to events. 5. Attend staff meetings and trainings. 6. Perform other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience: Knowledge and ability to connect audio equipment, light equipment, cording and related activities.  Training will be provided.  Successful candidate will possess knowledge of audio and visual technologies, as well as the ability to connect well with clients. Must be willing to work with an ethnically and culturally diverse group of staff and volunteers. Exceptional organizational and communication skills, dependability and punctuality are a must. Must possess the ability to be in a performance setting in front of an audience and be able to work in a diverse environment. Other Qualifications This applicant must be available to work evenings and weekends during all seasons of the year. Ability to interpret and carry out assigned tasks in a timely manner. Intern must have strong collaborative skills, be adaptable to last-minute changes and have the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people and personalities.

While performing the duties of this job, the Intern is occasionally required to stand and/or sit at a workstation and use hands and fingers to key data, operate dj mixing equipment. The Intern is frequently required to stand and be able to talk or hear in interactions with others. The Intern is occasionally required to walk to other locations within the venue and around the event. The Intern must be able to lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
